Tom Khaa soup 🇹🇭

This Thai soup is quickly becoming my go-to recipe for when I have a cold. It’s meant to have immune boosting and anti inflammatory properties!

~egg noodles
~4 cups chicken stock
~3 stalks lemongrass
~3 garlic cloves, minced
~2 tbs fish sauce
~chopped mushrooms
~1 cup shredded carrots
~6 green onions, chopped
~1 cup cilantro, chopped
~1 tbs red curry paste
~3 tbs tom yum paste
~2 limes, juiced
~cooked shrimp
~2 peppers, chopped
~1 can coconut milk

Bring the chicken stock to a boil and add the lemongrass, fish sauce, and garlic. Add the veggies, noodles, shrimp, pastes, and cook for 10 minutes until the noodles are cooked. Mix in the lime juice, coconut milk, and green onions. Top with cilantro and enjoy!

Tom Yum soup doesn’t have coconut milk, but I love the flavour and smooth texture the milk adds to make a Tom Khaa.
